Parking @ London Heathrow Airport
Parking at Heathrow Airport is expensive! If you go 1 minute past the time period you pay for the full next time period!
Most of the short term parking facilities at Heathrow are tight for space. Turns can be tight and getting into and out of parking slots can be challenging.
I usually don’t bother to seek out the parking slot nearest the ‘exit’. Everybody does and it can take an age to drive around and wait. Often I have followed another vehicle into a carpark, seen the driver head into the level where the exit to the airport terminal is located and then thought no more of it. I go up one extra level, slip into the nearest slot and can be in the terminal sipping a cup of coffee before he arrives.
So, if you spot a space that is a little away from the exit, you will get into the building just as quick. There will be less chance of your vehicle being damaged AND your passengers can get the stiffness of a long flight out of their legs before getting into the vehicle.
For parking requirements of 24 hours + you should use the long term off airport parking facilities. We have found BCP parking to be very good and heartily recommend them.
